About Us

Since our inception in 1988, we at Agro-Culture Trends (Pvt) Ltd have always had a singular goal: ensuring that Sri Lankan farmers reach parity with their counterparts both regionally and globally in crop production. This can only be achieved by ensuring that they have access to the very best varieties of vegetable seeds available to suit our conditions, as well as the technical support required in order to gain the maximum benefit from them, and the bedrock of our business is providing them with exactly that.

Over the past 30 years, our commitment to providing the best possible products has enabled us to grow steadily and today we are one of the largest and most trusted seed marketing companies in Sri Lanka, with the widest range of products for different crop categories and an established reputation for being the innovator of the sector.

In keeping with this reputation, we were the first seed company to Introduce F1 Hybrid Seed to Sri Lanka for a crop category other than Cabbage, with the Hybrid Chilli “Delhi Hot” which upon introduction in 1997 revolutionized the Chilli market, making it possible for farmers who were used to gaining yields of 3-4000Kg/Acre to increase their yields to 15,000Kg/Acre and beyond, resulting in massively increased income potential. This pioneering product introduced farmers to the benefits of Hybrid seeds and a result of our work many other crop categories soon converted to Hybrid seed cultivation.
